"30 Years MuAtsu," passing our strict standards explained below, aims to last more than 30 years with maintenance. MOUTON
Using selected skin of sheep grown in Australia, the mouton mattress pad has excellent
features. The fur, composed of thick layers of air, adjusts to changes in temperature or
humidity.
The pad keeps you warm when it is cold, absorbs the moisture, and lets it off when it is hot
and you are sweating. The mouton mattress's surface always feels dry and smooth, making the
product available throughout the year.
FOUR FEATURES of MOUTON
1. Disperses body pressure / High resiliency
Wool has wavy fibers that twist like a coil spring. When stretched, a single piece of wool extends by 30% and can return to its original state instantaneously. Due to this resilience, it becomes fluffy and comfortable with moderate cushioning.
2. Excellent hygroscopicity and desorption
The advantage of mouton is that it absorbs moisture.It's water absorption rate is about 15% of the weight of mouton.In addition, it absorbs moisture deep into the fibers, so the surface is always dry and does not become sticky even when sweating, making it comfortable to use even in summer.
3. Keeps warm
Mouton is densely furred, and the hair has extremely low thermal conductivity and cuts off the outside air. In addition, a lot of air enters between the curled and intricately entwined mouton fibers to increase the heat retention effect. The average amount of wool harvested at once is about 4kg, so you can see how scarce Cashmere is.
